WHAT TO EXPECT OF CHEER
Practices for cheer are held 2-4 days a week. Full participation is expected from all cheerleaders during the season so please plan your vacations accordingly. All practices are mandatory. Due to the nature of cheerleading/stunting, it is imperative for the safety of all of our cheerleaders that each cheerleader consistently attend and participate in practice and required conditioning.
Only absences for illness, injury or family emergency will be excused. Any cheerleader with an unexcused absence during summer practice will be subject to removal from the season’s active roster. Any cheerleader with three or more unexcused absences throughout the season will be subject to removal from the active roster.
Unexcused absences may result in your child being asked to sit on the bench for a portion of that week’s game.
If your child is injured, a doctor’s note will be required before your child may resume practice and games.
Once school starts, practices will be 2-4 days a week.
We cheer for football on Saturdays or Sundays from August to early November (including holiday weekends).
We also participate in 1 mandatory competition (usually late October). For those that wish, we do continue our competition season with 1 more local competition and then nationals (usually held in Anaheim in Feb). Practices for competitions will be 2-4 days a week.
